No 1 Footie Fan
The answer to someone who said that she can’t understand football and just recently call me “weird” for liking football too much. Read this, and you should know that it’s still very very faaarrr away before I can be considered football-freak
(well, not that I don’t want to be considered as one, though
)

WEST BROM fan Vic Stirrup is Britain’s biggest footy nut.
Vic, 86, has missed only FIVE games in 60 YEARS. A season-ticket holder for 67 years, he has been named Barclays fan of the month. Vic, from Warley, even put off his wedding to wife Brenda when it clashed with a re-arranged game.
Only Adolf Hitler and a hip replacement have kept the retired newsagent away from his beloved Baggies for any length of time.
Vic first went along to the Hawthorns in 1924 at the age of six.
During the Second World War he was a gunner on Atlantic merchant ships — but immediately re-claimed his season ticket in 1945 after six years away.
Two games were missed while he worked on his shop and three when he had a hip replacement in 1995.
But the day he was released from hospital, he watched a reserve game.
He said: “I’ve watched West Brom from Blackburn to Turkey over the past 60 odd years. I’ve been to well over 3,000 games.
“I just hope we can do the business in our remaining games and stay in the Premiership.”
Vic made sure the family connection continues — he now goes to games with grandson Ben, 16, who has not missed a match for 10 years
Life Lessons
Reading this, and this, and should be lot of others in this very interesting blog (I still have to learn a lot to live this life
). Wish I could emulate their affection to their children, wish that I can raise my children the way they raise theirs, hmm..
Lastly, from this:
——————————————
Don’t look back with regrets
Don’t look forward with greed
Don’t stop cause you are in confuse
Don’t you walk with no intention
Don’t you stop to find who and what you are
Your past and your future are related each other
they are closer than you can imagine
Look at your past and learn from it,
Look at your future and apply what you had learned

PS. According to this, he has a brother who is currently doing his PhD in Tokodai. Who??
Al-Ahqaf(46):15

[*] And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship and she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty (30) months, till when he attains full strength and reaches forty years, he says: “My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds, such as please You, and make my off-spring good. Truly, I have turned to You in repentance, and truly, I am one of the Muslims (submitting to Your Will).”
